Nagwa Winter Experience is a whimsical reinterpretation of Arabian winter festivities, creating an immersive escape where light, warmth, and imagination come together. Inspired by the seasonal rituals of the region; from desert gatherings and campfires to moments shared over coffee; the concept transforms familiar winter experiences into a dreamy, larger-than-life environment that invites visitors to disconnect from reality and embrace a world of wonder & whimsy.
Rooted in the idea of a winter carousel, the experience draws on the nostalgia of childhood journeys and the magic of imagination. The carousel becomes a symbolic vehicle that carries visitors between reality and fantasy, blending cultural authenticity with playful global winter references. Through a carefully crafted lightscape, the installation captures the essence of Arabian winter nights while introducing a sense of curiosity, discovery, and celebration.
The campaign, “شَبّينا ضو نقوة” (Nagwa Shines Bright), explores the duality between light and warmth, referencing both the glow of festive illumination and the comfort of a traditional campfire. This layered storytelling approach allows the concept to extend across multiple touchpoints, creating a cohesive experience that reflects Nagwa’s identity and seasonal spirit.
The space is organized around three key attractions: a coffee cart, Kashta-inspired seating areas, and an interactive wishing activity. Each element combines regional character with whimsical winter aesthetics through surreal forms, playful scale, contrasting materials, and glowing details. The design language takes inspiration from a deconstructed carousel, transforming familiar elements into abstract architectural moments that spark curiosity and encourage exploration.
