Each year, the world?s most influential social entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and strategic partners gather at the University of Oxford?s Sa?d Business School to exchange ideas and activate solutions during the Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship. The Forum is the premier international platform for advancing entrepreneurial solutions to the world?s most pressing problems. This annual gathering unites doers and donors, thinkers and tinkerers in a collaborative pursuit of learning, leverage, and large-scale social change.
<br>
This year?anchored on our theme: Accelerating Possibility?we overhauled the visual design identity of the Forum with a modern, streamlined sensibility imbued with hope and optimism of a much better future. The complete visual identity grew out of a central thematic illustration of hope and optimism reflected in a narrative of global solutions playing out in a landscape of intertwining staircases inspired by the famous MC Escher ?impossible staircase?. What could be a more appropriate setting for a vision of possibility?
<br>
At every level of the staircase a discrete narrative of possibility unfolds?from solar powered innovation and sustainable agriculture, to digitally empowered community health workers and nurse practitioners reaching the most vulnerable populations at the last mile. Tucked beneath it all is a young girl in a classroom surrounded by books?the paper airplane she sends aloft is a signifier of her aspirations and for the potential of her education to improve far-reaching global outcomes, from climate change to human rights. She is every girl. She is our shared future of possibility.
