In August of 2018, Navigate Affordable Housing Partners set out transform community development. The nonprofit purchased two properties in Birmingham’s historic North Titusville Neighborhood. One of those purchases was Center Court Apartments. The original idea was to rehab and renovate the 56 apartment units. It was soon evident, a majority of the units were too far gone to be saved. They were unlivable. So, we set out to make the case the apartment complex needed to be demolished and replaced. The #Titusville Rising video is a mini documentary showing the issue plaguing the community and how Navigate plans to address them.
