Nairobi is a city well known for being under the sun and its youthful vibrancy and people. Rich in history and culture, it Is one of the most sort after location for travel and entertainment in East Africa as well as the rest of Africa and the world. Nairobi knows how to have a good time and it knows how to enjoy the beauty that is African camaraderie. From top of the line entertainment spots and events to top bars and exciting performances. But even with the city regaining its glory as the entertainment hub of Africa, we find that there is a gap for those looking for a more wholesome experience away from what the nightlife brings. That is how Nairobi Alive was born. The initiative was brought into actuality from the underlying drive and need to fill the gap present from a lack of a wholesome social experience.. The brand represented diversity and connected the old and the new showcasing life in a different light of the vibrant and youthful city through other forms of entertainment like social events within neighborhoods. Our logo design stemmed from the desire to bring the youthful, creative and always evolving nature of Nairobi out abstractly but with meaning. The inspiration came about from the overhead map of the Nairobi streets with a focus on the precise area where the old meets the new. Cutting across both worlds, we showcase not only the historical locations such as Nairobi Railways Museum but we also captured the diverse groups of individuals from all walks of life. The logo essentially encapsulates a space within where diverse communality of all Kenyans is felt and can be seen through every curve, turn and line of the streets.
