BCU Financial Website

I was tasked with redesigning and project managing the extremely dated financial website for Ontario's largest ethnic credit union, www.bcufinancial.com. The new site had to be visually enticing, mobile friendly and most importantly, safe and secure. The site needed to include a massive amount of content - personal banking, business banking, financial planning and a ‘in the community’ area to highlight how the financial institution was giving back to the Ukrainian community. Working alongside the client and web developer, we spent 6 months designing, building and testing the new site. It was also built with a fully client-manage content system so the client could provide regular updating to all pages as needed.
Several dozen page templates were designed and created that formed the basis of the entire site, each one unique, yet still keeping in line with the client styleguide and overall look and feel of the new website design. The pages were designed with a grid-style framework in mind so it could make swapping out content very easy for the client to do on their own. Working with the client, we built each section based on existing content and with keeping future content in mind so that our new site would fit with what the client would regularly post and update.
