The last decade, poaching across Africa has been rising like a bloody tide over the continent. The world reacted to the gruesome images and the extent of the death toll – on average three rhinos are killed per day for their horn — every single death, bringing the species closer to the ultimate and final end.
In response, a few brave, self-sacrificing individuals’ risk everything to stand between the powerful international criminal gangs who exploit Africa's natural resources.
One of those is, Wicus Diedericks, founder of Rockwood Conservation, the largest private, rhino conservation of its kind. Employing an innovative, strategy of 'aggressive conservation' he and his dedicated rangers and veterinary scientists guard the second largest rhino population in the world. On the frontline of this silent war, despite the tragedy, there are still glimmers of hope among the barrage of cruelty driven by greed. This is the story of Rockwood’s rhinos and the men and women who protect them – the rhino guardians who, Live For A Change.
