The client:
The Isle of Skye Paint Company based on the stunning Isle of Skye in Scotland, is a new contender in the paint market, making environmentally friendly paint infused with organic seaweed, which is to be found on the shores all around the Isle of Skye.

Aim & Objectives:
The Isle of Skye Paint Company approached us for assistance with their branding initially,
their aim is to rival the likes of Farrow & Ball and be the paint of choice for consumers with expendable income and who demand the very best. Following on from the successful brand identity, we were then asked to design the packaging for their masonry and interior paint. The packaging needed to reflect the majesty of the area from where the company were from and to complement the branding, whilst at the same time having an opulent, luxurious look and tone of voice that would have stand out on the shelf to their target audience.

The Result:
The Isle of Skye is famous for its wonderful landscape and its imposing mountain range. Taking the majesty of the Isle of Skye's mountain range as the backdrop for the can's exterior design we gave this a dark mysterious feel, this was then replicated on to fully wrapped paint tin cylinders. Working closely with the client the actual paint colours were inspired and named after specific areas around Skye, giving an instant appeal to both locals and tourists alike. Colour chips were carefully produced and coated to reflect the three different finishes available and placed on the front of each tin, which were then replicated in the accompanying colour card. The tins were then produced for the interior paint range in 125ml, 750ml, 2.5 litre and 5 litre tins available in Skye Classic Matt, Skye Durable and Skye Satin; Masonry exterior paint tins were also developed in 5 and 10 litre tins.
