1 Congratulations on your achievements in the MUSE Creative Awards! Could you start by introducing yourself or your agency? Can you also share a bit about your journey into your current industry?

I am part of Fungs Design, a studio specializing in dynamic visual storytelling. Our work spans visual animation, AR/VR, new media design, immersive experiences, brand image design, and more. Driven by a passion for animation, we’ve developed an integrated approach that combines AR/VR, AI real-time computing, and immersive storytelling.

2 What inspired you to submit your work for this competition, and what does winning mean to you personally and professionally?

“OMAKASE Immersive Wave Projection” challenges the sensory dimension of dining spaces. To demonstrate that digital art can deepen taste memories, we combined the sound of waves with the ritual of cooking. The most gratifying part of winning this award is witnessing how technology can facilitate a deeper conversation between chefs and diners. Our motivation for participating in the “SKM Park Outlets Roller Rink” was to redefine the social role of projection art. For example, the SKM Park Outlets Roller Rink is not only a visual design—it also attempts to translate the sensation of speed from pulley movement into the language of light traces.

3 Can you share the story behind your success? What inspired its creation, and what do you feel it represents in today’s industry?

The inspiration for "OMAKASE Immersive Wave Projection" comes from the chef’s philosophy of "旬" (seasonality). Our team has conducted long-term research on the digitization of natural textures. This project uses the rhythmic movement of particles—projected as waves—to echo the taste experience. It proves that technology and cuisine are not two parallel lines without intersection. Digital art can become a seasoning in cooking, acting as a sixth sense that extends the five traditional senses of the dining experience. The inspiration for "SKM Park Outlets Roller Rink" came from the mechanical beauty of old-fashioned pinball tables. We translated the kinetic energy of roller skating into trails of light. Starting with the motion of a pinball, the experience moves through a colorful tunnel into a starry universe. Cute, blooming flowers shift the visual hierarchy, and finally, the pinball completes the visual feast as it passes through a vivid, color-filled water pipe mechanism.

4 What do you believe set your project apart in such a competitive field? Were there specific elements or strategies that made it shine?

"OMAKASE Immersive Wave Projection"uses several high brightness laser projectors to arrangements are made at the restaurant entrance to achieve an immersive projection effect. So that diners can not only feel the deliciousness of the food, but also enjoy the impression of connecting delicious ingredients through the visual and auditory senses of the waves. "SKM Park Outlets Roller Rink"present fairy-tale starlight effects through high-resolution projection. And flowers meet the preferences of all ages.Compared with the traditional playground, it always passes by in a hurry, Fungs Design has successfully redefined the unforgettable game space with light and shadow.

5 Every project has its challenges. Can you share a significant obstacle you faced during this process and how you overcame it?

We needed to overcome environmental challenges affecting the projector, which is why we’ve always partnered with high-quality hardware suppliers to ensure the equipment maintains image quality and performs reliably in various conditions.

6 Winning an award of this caliber often brings recognition. What do you hope this achievement will mean for your career, your team, or your agency in the long run? Have you already noticed any changes or opportunities arising from this recognition?

With the recognition of MUSE, and the trust and expectations of our clients, Fungs Design will continue to deliver more unexpected and delightful experiences across diverse fields in the future.

7 What has the reaction been from clients, audiences, or stakeholders about your winning entry? Any feedback or memorable moments that stand out?

Marie Claire and bloggers shared their experiences with "OMAKASE Immersive Wave Projection" and were amazed by the blue waves that appeared when the door opened. In an instant, they felt transported to the seaside—a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The water projections echoed the shimmering ceiling, guiding diners to savor the art of food. Consumer feedback reinforces our belief that animation can be a bridge to touch the soul. "SKM Park Outlets Roller Rink" unexpectedly became an educational space for families. Parents and children discussed the different light trail effects and the physical concept of "acceleration" together. Children not only strengthened their bonds with their parents but also learned through interactive art while playing.

8 For those aspiring to achieve similar success, what advice would you offer to help them not only thrive in their industries but also craft compelling, award-worthy entries? Are there specific practices, mindsets, or strategies you believe are key?

Finding creativity through limitations — in the past, restrictions in certain fields meant that hardware modifications were not allowed, which led to the development of non-contact projection solutions. In fact, the commercial value of projection art still holds infinite potential for growth.

9 The creative industry is constantly evolving. How do you view these changes, and where do you hope to position yourself in the future?

Market demand is shifting from "visual impact" to "emotional resonance." Our team has been using AI tools to enhance creativity. With the endorsement of awards and a portfolio of outstanding work, Fungs Design, as an industry representative, provides one-stop solutions in brand marketing and cultural curation through immersive experiences.

10 Entering awards can be daunting for many, especially those just starting out. What would you say to individuals who have limited experience, or are hesitant to showcase their work in competitions? How can they build confidence and see the value in participating?

The most painful part of design isn’t that a project wasn’t selected, but that years later, the original idea is buried by our own hands due to a lack of opportunity. The MUSE Creative Awards is the starting point for creativity to be seen by the world.

11 Creativity thrives on community. What message would you like to share with fellow creatives, marketers, and advertising professionals?

In this era of rapid AI replication, safeguarding originality and uniqueness is crucial. The value of creativity lies not in 'creating from nothing,' but in the ability to translate 'data into emotion.'

12 Winning is a team effort in many cases. Is there someone or a group of people you’d like to dedicate this achievement to, and why?

This award is dedicated to our hardworking team and our clients who insist on high quality. It is because of you that Fungs Design continues to prove that "exceptional design" is born at the intersection of "creator courage" and "user wisdom."

13 If you could describe your award-winning entry in one sentence, what would it be and why?

"OMAKASE Immersive Wave Projection": "Exploring the intertidal zone at the tip of the tongue and the crest of the wave." "SKM Park Outlets Roller Rink": "On the 23-meter slide, every child becomes Van Gogh."

14 Finally, what’s next for you? Any exciting projects or upcoming goals that you’d like to share with us and the audience?
