Despite a rising tide of populist-driven tribalism in most countries, the plight of refugees can still put a lump in anyone’s throat because we’re all moved by human need. Chocolate Moose Media has produced The Migrant, a short, animated video for United Methodist Communications that fuels a tradition of hope for the world’s 65 million refugees trying to escape war, violence and persecution. At just 80 seconds it manages to capture the emotions of flight, fear, promise and deliverance with highly stylized animation and driven by an amazing soundtrack from Ottawa composer Andrew Huggett.
