A Hundred Years from Now is a short film created by Brisbane animation studio, Explanimate!<br><br>It is based on a spoken word poem written by Rupert McCall (twitter.com/rupertmccall) called ?A Hundred Years from Now?, The poem was commissioned by the Australian War Memorial as part of the commemoration of 100 years since the landings at Gallipoli. McCall takes you back to 1914 and into the shoes of a young soldier about to go to war. The touching ode to our Diggers has been taught in Australian schools.<br><br>The animation is voiced by legendary Australian Actor, Jack Thompson (imdb.com/name/nm0860233/)<br><br>28 animators and motion artists contributed with creative interpretations of 30 lines of prose. Each has been linked together to tell one story - providing a unique visual journey that touches on the gamuts of animation disciplines including Traditional (2D, Cel, Hand Drawn) 2D (Vector-Based), 3D, Motion Typography, Stop Motion and Claymation.<br><br>Each contributing artist donated their time and expertise as volunteers, in celebration of the sacrifices of veterans everywhere.
