Wisisk, meaning animals of great respect in MicMac teaches first nations children about the wildlife on their reserve, shows them where these animals can be found all while upholding the MicMac language by offering sound bites to hear and learn the pronunciation of these creatures in their beautiful native language. Its function is not only to teach these kids about wildlife through a digital experience in the form of illustrations and quizzes, but also to show them where in their community they can safely experience this wildlife in person, bridging the gap between what is digital and what is real.

This website included a custom CMS platform, interactive quiz, interactive map and over 30 custom illustration. I had the pleasure of being the project lead, web designer and illustrator on this project.
