Debuting during the last week of Black History Month 2020, PAPER and BET Networks created a viral magazine cover series that promoted an era of Black 90s television with a twist, one that paid homage to today's modern Black TV pioneer -- acclaimed screenwriter, producer and actress Lena Waithe. Leveraging this magazine cover series, PAPER developed an advertising campaign to highlight the Golden Age of Black entertainment in anticipation of the launch of BET's and Lena Waithe's hit television series, 'Twenties' and 'Boomerang.'



The magazine cover series was an instant success, garnering millions of impressions, viral sharing from celebrities and thousands of sentiments across the industry for the campaign's culturally rich design and mission to push culture forward.
