The Little Red Dog Telethon Part Chew

In the midst of a global pandemic, The Little Red Dog with Monte Video launched a Telethon fundraiser; The Little Red Dog Telethon Part Che was a virtual fundraiser featuring comedian Gary Cannon as the host of this amazing Telethon with live performances, music, and adoptable pups all in an effort to help our cause. We are a non-profit that pivoted and were one of the first to do an online event in May and followed up by this event in July 2020. We raised $25K this time and a total of $40K between the two telethons.

On a Mission from Dog:

Dogs are man's best friend, but it is not always the other way around. Inspired by the dogs rescued from the Michael Vick dog-fighting ring, The Little Red Dog was born. If you are not familiar with the Michael Vick dogfighting case chronicled in The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick's Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption, The Little Red Dog was brutally beaten to death by Vick and his cousin, all because she didn’t want to fight.

We do not discriminate against ANY breed. We rescue all breeds and colors, from high kill shelters and find them loving forever homes. We are the biggest Pitbull rescue in Orange County. We also take seniors, dogs with medical issues, pregnant dogs, and nursing moms. We also take in strays and owner surrenders.

Since our inception in October 2011, we have saved and placed over 3,500 dogs! We are 100% volunteer-based so every $1 raised goes directly to the dogs. We hope one day all dogs will make it out of the shelter system and find loving homes, and there will be no more dogfighting, but we will never forget The Little Red Dog or the other dogs who did not make it out alive.
