In a world where technology is forever at our fingertips, old ways of teaching (and learning!) just don’t work - they leave learners frustrated and bored.
At Box, we’ve always endeavoured to build content through the lens of Relational Framing, a term defined as using storytelling to bridge the gap between our desired learning and real life. Calculus is a subject that is notoriously difficult to relate to, and we knew this subject needed to be reimagined. So, along with Pearson, BoxMedia’s Production team worked with numerous subject matter experts in order to create a creative, correct and defined product. Together, we took the existing frames, broke them down, and rebuilt them using new relational framing structures. Starting with the top 3 areas that students found most difficult (Integrals, Derivatives and Limits), we created 34 animated shorts that explained mathematics in relation to real-world topics; video games, eco sustainability, black holes, rockets, among many others.
This series of truly captivating, modern, and visually stunning explainer videos offer a unique and entertaining way to learn some of the most complex maths in the known universe.
