About the client: This unique business is saving the natural beauty of Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, and preparing for the building of an arboretum to commemorate the Quarter Millennium since the United States declared its independence. QM250 is enlisting paid, home-grown volunteers, procuring funding through donations, and landing permits from the city… all for the removal of invasive non-native vines that are overtaking the historic trees. Many of these trees have been around since we declared our independence in 1776.
The Website: QM250.US is designed to brand this important entity online, raise awareness to the threat to nature, and solicit volunteers as well as much needed donations for the many projects that need to be set into action to save this beautiful park - in this historic city. We designed the logo and color palette to resemble the colors of nature, and some of the more familiar colors of the city of Philadelphia. We focused attention on the 3 major calls to action… "Volunteer", "Permit" and "Donate". Each are easy to find and compelling to click. They each are linked to pages which contain integrated custom forms and ways to easily donate within the website. The visual design contains lots of actual photography of real volunteers working in the park, as well as beauty shots from all around Philly and Fairmount Park.
