As the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted air travel, Airlines for America (A4A) needed an agile, flexible platform that could quickly adapt on the industry’s behalf. Building on a solid foundation and a wealth of content, our goal was simple: streamline and refine the website. Our aim was also to create a website tailor-made for A4A’s audiences—putting accessibility at the forefront of our discovery process and creative execution.
Beginning with data-driven research, we designed a website that visually connects users to something visceral—the joy of flight. Subtle curves and a light, spacious design evoke the experience of being in the air. Callouts to key datasets and news stories direct users to important content easily and intuitively. We developed this intuitive and timeless design to extend site longevity, supported by a CMS that can evolve with A4A and the overall airline industry.
We developed custom page templates and modules to position A4A for rapid-response needs. This flexible structure helps A4A prepare for the future and quickly adapt to changing landscapes. Balancing short-term needs with a longer-term outlook for the final product helped NJI optimize the final site toolkit even further.
Strategic planning and a thoughtful approach resulted in an infrastructure that speaks to a bright, innovative future for A4A, equipping the organization with tools for fast development, flexibility, and responsiveness for the years ahead.. Together, we executed a seamless website launch that resulted in industry-level success and celebration—flyin’ high.
