Spoofing the classic 'locker room' big finale often seen in sports movies, this short ad highlights Move Day's new sponsorship with the Jacksonville Jaguars. We wanted to mimic the dramatic lighting and handheld quality seen in movies like 'Friday Night Lights', juxtaposed with comedy as the pep talk is interrupted at its peak. Filming in their actual away-team locker room (due to covid restrictions, we couldn't film in the main room or with any actual team members), this project was conceived and completed in only a couple of weeks in order to be ready for the main season. Although the turnaround period was tight, the main difficulty was trying to keeping it to only 30 seconds. It was important to keep the pacing tight, but without ruining the comedic timing or losing any story beats. We ended up having a longer cut, which the client was able to use online and on social, where there are less time restrictions.
