CONTEXT 2021, TikTok is now integrated in most brands communication plans. But they usually follow the same pattern: Influencer(s), branded challenge idea or product placement, but at what cost? Fine if you only care about impressions, but what about community feedback? BRIEF Broadcast an esports ad that will appeal to esports fans, without any esports influencers budget, when TikTok offers no esports targeting. SOLUTION Create a new kind of TikTok influencers! By turning video game characters into Strafe esports ambassadors and have them perform the most famous TikTok trends, we ultimately delivered fun & engaging ads that you don’t want to scroll away from. In other words, we almost created esports TikTok ads, and the community loved it.
