Located right at the heart of Luxembourg, the “Guttland” region is known as a "slow tourism" destination. It boasts amazing scenery and heritage that is just waiting to be discovered.
The client (Office Régional du Tourisme Centre/Ouest) came up with it’s new project “Guttland.Trails”, which combines Guttland’s most beautiful circular walks under this new label.
To reach the main target group (the “Explorers” - who look for local, real experiences, off the beaten track), we have opted for a keep it simple approach:
the fully responsive website is therefore designed in a simple and easily accessible way, as a scrollable one-pager without any submenus.
Available in 3 languages (german, french, as well as in English), the tone of voice is intentionally kept collegial and relaxed to support the approach.
A typographic hierarchy sets the tone for easy use of the website and readability of the (intentionally) short texts.
A strong color palette comes as an identification tool, which helps the user to connect with the new “Guttland.Trails” brand and it’s website.
To show the uniqueness of the circular walks – with its little ponds, bark mulch paths, the mysterious valleys and numerous narrow wooden bridges – the visual language of the website-photos is a quite important part.
The photos should be perceived as an invitation to discover those unspoilt forests.
