We had the great pleasure to design the brand identity for the Munich based photographer Désirée Illsinger.
Her photographic style ranges from highly expressive black and whites to subtle luxurious photography, landscape and stills.
Our aim was to capture her agile, feminine and professional personality and the french roots of her name.
The result is an elegant and playful yet sophisticated custom drawn wordmark inspired by the art nouveau style,
to capture the french and reminisce the 20s, which we all just revive in our own contemporary way.
Since it's a creative's primary aim, to let their work speak for itself, we designed the brand to solely work
in sleek black and white. An intriguing play between light and dark. No distracting patterns or colour in order to have her photographic work shine to the fullest. By using the brandmark itself as an ornamental
element on stationery or in any form of visual communication - cropped in half and used on the edges, as well as a connecting element
between imagery and white space - we furthermore strengthen the branding effect by concentrating solely on the main role - Désirée Illsinger.
