In late 2020 and early 2021, vaccines were becoming a real possibility for the Covid-19, that swept across the world in a global pandemic. WBIR's own journalist was one of the many people who went through the first trials to test the effectiveness and safety of the Covid-19 vaccine. Tasked with created the visuals for a 2+ minute long explainer piece on her story, my co-worker and I brought her story to life in order to educate the public about the vaccines and dispel any misinformation. Through a mixture of 2D and 3D visuals, this piece illustrates the process of these trials and how the vaccine was created in the first place with the limited time, while helping to inform audiences about the health and safety of these vaccines rolling out.
