EvolveIT Video

Retail Business Services (RBS) is the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing services to five East Coast grocery brands: Food Lion, The GIANT Company, Giant Food, Hannaford and Stop & Shop. RBS provides innovative solutions by leveraging scale and expertise so its partners can focus on building great local brands. As a testament of RBS’ pursuit of innovation, the company was recently recognized as No. 25 of the Top 100 Best Workplaces for Innovators by Fast Company.



The Phoenix was tasked with creating an exciting video that showcases the company vision to current and potential associates, especially those within the RBS Information Technology department. It’s part of a new initiative and recruitment campaign – EvolveIT – to establish Retail Business Services as the employer of choice for Information Technology superstars. The video was unveiled at a recent company town hall and will be featured in all of RBS’ recruitment activities.



To increase impact, awareness and engagement, The Phoenix designed a compelling logo for the EvolveIT program. The EvolveIT logo combines geometric shapes from the Retail Business Services identity and the company’s color palette into a simple, yet modern logo that can be applied to multiple assets.



For the creation of the video, The Phoenix leveraged existing footage of current RBS associates to convey a sense of belonging and incorporated current innovations that the company utilizes in their stores, distribution centers and other facilities. To provide a sense of what the future of retail may entail, and to inspire current and potential associates, the video features cutting-edge technology that has not yet been deployed. The video combines inspiring music, contemporary visual effects and the modern EvolveIT logo in a short, awe-inspiring 50-second video.
