This video reveals what firefighters saw and experienced during the Marshall Fire in Boulder County and the strategy they used to save lives and property. West Metro was one of dozens of fire agencies that sent crews to assist on the fire. For firefighters, it was a life-changing incident.



While local media covered the fire extensively, and interviewed firefighters about what they experienced, they focused mostly on what was lost (more than a thousand homes) and not on what was saved and what crews did to protect homes, businesses and nieghborhoods.



Utilizing interviews with three West Metro firefighters, and firefighter-generated video and images, the piece gives an intimate look at what it was like for crews in one neighborhood.



The video is a documentary-style piece and gives comprehensive insight to an historical event.
