The goal for this project was to unify the now singular brand and create a digital experience that represents UKG as a market leader. Since UKG is also in the business of people, highlighting accessibility was an integral part.
Before UKG merged to become one organization in early 2020, it was two separate companies; Kronos and Ultimate Software. Each company had individual sites, and a temporary ukg.com website was created as an initial stop gap solution. This site linked to the legacy brand sites and still referenced the legacy names, not presenting the unified messaging, nor the elevated brand needed to gain customers' trust.
The challenge was to replace the 3 legacy sites with one new, unified site. Blog and News content (that had already been reworked to include the UKG name) was migrated from the legacy sites while the rest of the content was reimagined specifically for the new site to provide users with an improved experience. One that no longer feels like two separate companies, but one that is unified and worthy of their trust.
Lastly, the competitive landscape is rife with an overall experience that is complex, convoluted and mundane. Our challenge was to deploy a simple and authentic communication strategy that puts the “human” back in HR.
