Upholding its summer tradition, Mira Place celebrates the 10th anniversary of annual music festival Gimme LiVe this August. To escape from the dullness of social distancing and bring more positive energy to the community, Gimme LiVe 2022 has established a special theme “Colour My Life”, supporting the local music industry and spreading joy to fill life with colours with positive vibes forwards. Soloists, bands, and local buskers were invited to perform at the mall through five music genres – “Chill Pop Rock”, “All That Jazz”, “New Voice”, “Canto Pop”, and “Acoustic”. The festival also fuses music with arts by collaborating with pop art artist Daiv and digital art group MataArtz to launch an exhibition to transform the voices of Cantopop artists such as Shiga Lin, Gin Lee, and more into a collection of digital artworks. The unique pieces will be on display at the mall’s Atrium, with some artworks being converted into music and art NFTs, which will be sold for charity to support the Music Children Foundation providing meaningful free-of-charge music training to underprivileged children.
