Dàu-Dīn 2 is a series of IPs that the government has been trying to promote. To promote Minnan culture, the government plans a series of special art pavilions, dingtou, drama, dance, music, and other forms of arts. The play “Dàu-Dīn 2” depicts the story of the Dragon King, who loves his son and is finally attracted to the land and the people of Taoyuan. The group prayed for the people through traditional din-tao performances and the singing of the story. The Minnan culture has a long history, and "Dàu-Dīn 2" combines the diverse beliefs of the din-tao culture in Taoyuan. The story focused on the gods and connected them with the people of Taoyuan. Din-tao is a form of performance to reward the gods and ghosts, but in this play, there are innovations in the story and the form of the performance. In terms of storytelling, the din-tao culture empowered literary and artistic value. The performance is based on the classic legendary mythology of the glory of generations. From the story of Nezha's fight to the history of Taoyuan, the art of din-tao is expressed in an easy-to-understand way. As for the stage, the artist took the imagery of the helmet to symbolize where the world of the gods and the world of man meet. The helmet also has the meaning of glory. On the other hand, the arched design serves as a visual focal point as the performers keep moving out of the stage, symbolizing the honor and pride of the traditional art while echoing the story of the gods fighting to bless the Taoyuan.
