The Friendly Toast came to Stout Heart in need of a brand refresh to support its significant growth. Begun as a one-location breakfast joint, new ownership has expanded the restaurant to multiple locations. Knowing they needed to clean up their branding but worried they'd lose their signature quirky personality, the refresh because a unique project. Stout Heart went beyond your typical brand standard format (logos, typogrpahy, etc.) to allow for flexibility within a structured corporate brand, employing "brand themes" inspired by different decades. This approach allows The Friendly Toast to mix things up without losing sight of their brand.
