Wild Yeast Watercolour Calendar 2022

The cozy cafe business Wild Yeast Bakery takes great pride in their sourdough specialization despite the labour-intensive process where patience and time are essential components in each baking session.

The said bakery desired to provide their customers with a monthly thank you card that reflected their passion for craftsmanship and their unique niche. To represent the time, craftsmanship, and labour that goes into their each sourdough making, we went above and beyond in incorporating those attributes into a tangible form.

Since thank you cards are frequently thrown in the trash after being read, we wanted to add a functional twist. As a result, the desired thank you cards were designed into a watercolour calendar for functionality and to personify "time."

To reflect “craftsmanship” and “labour,” we meticulously hand painted each illustration based on the daily scenes in the bakery which was later scanned and refined for a flawless finish. Every page of the calendar has something going on to keep things interesting, such as detachable elements for aesthetic purposes, holiday greetings to demonstrate Wild Yeast's caring and warm personality, along with some facts, advice, and reminders for knowledge gaining with sourdough as the main focus.

When all 12 monthly thank you cards are collected with each purchase in a specific month, the collection is complete and can be turned into a calendar to spruce up any space. This is also a covert way of encouraging repeat purchases in order to finish the collection.
