"2022 KAOHSIUNG Street ART Festival" is themed on the beauty of art. Large-scale wall-paintings transform public housing and Taiwan Sugar dormitories that are over 40 years old, to promote the culture and characteristics of the area. As the first large-scale local outdoor event since the epidemic, the event is planned with the concept of "Change & Rebirth", with six themes: large-scale wall painting, an interactive area for street artists, Kids Happy play area, an iceball band, and Wendy Wander, fun photo area, and creative bazaar.
The six areas provide audiences with art appreciation and interaction, and each year, more and more people are attracted to participate. Because of the event's success, it has been possible to transform the nearly 50-year-old neighborhood into an outdoor art museum, which not only improves the landscape but also makes it one of the must-see attractions for domestic and international visitors.
