We were challenged with creating a new concept for a Holiday Skip-A-Pay promotion. The client provided us with some suggested verbiage, but it didn’t get included in the design brief. So, we believed we were starting from scratch and scripted our own headline and supporting copy. We found an image of a young mother and her children decorating gingerbread cookies that provided strong emotional appeal for the cover. We followed the cookie baking theme throughout the piece in both our text and images. The client loved the direction we went with this and approved the layout exactly as it was presented, making only minor text changes.
