This project is a poster and flux-kit design project for the live performance of "Untitled (A Plague in Cyberspace)" which was performed in late 2021 at the Parsons School of Design in New York. "Untitled" is an audio-visual performance that seeks to answer the question: "How might we represent and engage with digital-prime memories?" The designs attempt to fit the theme and aesthetics of the project.
The kit, which is inspired by the Fluxus art movement, is meant to be read by the audience during and after the performance. The kit features all the information the audience should require to reproduce it on their own.
The overall experience is composed of the live performance (itself featuring a video and an artist choreography) and the flux-kit (the zine which you see in the images) which contains a poetic retelling of the memory and a poem-prompt.
The zine exhorts the audience to a seemingly simple task which they can construe at will. The memory evoked is the Corrupted Blood event, a deadly virtual plague that affected the players of World of Warcraft in 2005.
During the performance as the video rendering of the digital memory plays in the background and I cradle a kid (a baby goat) and whisper in its ears my retelling of the events.
