As the global pandemic receded and Taiwan lifted its travel restrictions, the Authentic Taiwanese House Pop-Up Activation was held from October 21-23, 2022, at Toronto's bustling Yonge-Dundas Square. This unique event aimed to boost tourism to Taiwan by extending a warm invitation for tourists to experience the country's hospitality as guests in an authentic Taiwanese house.

The pop-up exhibit, resembling a traditional Taiwanese house, provided an immersive experience, showcasing Taiwan's diverse attractions. Three color-themed experiences were featured: Red, celebrating culture and history; Green/Blue, emphasizing natural beauty and outdoor activities; and Gold, unveiling hidden "small town ramble" adventures. Interactive elements like oil-painted umbrellas and divination blocks enriched visitors' experiences, while a packet of Taiwanese tea served as a souvenir to extend the sensory journey beyond the event.

A media event held the day before the activation sparked interest among journalists and the public, leading to extensive media exposure during the campaign.

Social media influencers played a crucial role in amplifying the campaign's reach, with user-generated content further bolstering its online presence. In addition, an engaging online sweepstakes attracted numerous entries, creating additional buzz around the event.

Strategically placed out-of-home display ads and programmatic digital ads effectively showcased Taiwan's diverse offerings as a travel destination, reinforcing the campaign's core message and appeal.

The Authentic Taiwanese House Pop-Up Activation, a successful integrated marketing campaign, triumphed in spotlighting Taiwan's diverse attractions among visitors. This inventive and experiential approach adeptly positioned Taiwan as a must-visit destination, leaving a lasting impression on consumers and marking a new milestone in tourism promotion.
