Taiwan Beef Noodle Calendar

The Chinese zodiac animal for 2021 is the Ox. We have chosen Taiwan's iconic delicacy, Beef Noodle Soup, as the theme for our desk calendar design. The calendar is divided into two halves representing the first and second halves of the year, featuring the flavors of Braised Beef and Clear Broth. On the back of each page, we provide a brief history and story of beef noodle soup in Taiwan, allowing consumers to not only enjoy their meals but also learn about the cultural significance of this classic Taiwanese dish.

To make the desk calendar more interactive and engaging, we have transformed it into a rotating three-dimensional paper toy. By spinning the ladle on the calendar, different months can be displayed, while pulling the chopsticks reveals the days of the week, including Sundays. Additionally, we have incorporated authentic food packaging bags as the external packaging design, providing consumers with a sense of novelty and excitement.

Our design concept captures the essence of Taiwan's culinary heritage through the representation of beef noodle soup, a beloved local favorite. The choice of two different flavors showcases the diversity and versatility of this dish, catering to various tastes and preferences. By including historical and cultural information about beef noodle soup, we aim to educate and create a deeper appreciation for Taiwan's gastronomic traditions.
