In collaboration with the Women’s Environmental Network (WEN), Really Bright Media (RBM) presents a powerful 2-minute film spotlighting the Just FACT food programme. Just FACT is a network of people and projects in Tower Hamlets, coming together to create the building blocks for an alternative food system that is democratic, environmentally sustainable, and people-driven.
Our film showcases WEN’s impactful work in Tower Hamlets and beyond, bringing together a local artist and various members of the community in WEN’s from the network of people and projects. The integration of the illustration work with live action visuals of the various food projects offers a unique lens to explore programme aims.
At RBM we’re dedicated to supporting local charities, and this project exemplifies that commitment.
The film captures local artist, Ellis Lewis-Dragstra’s, creative process, connecting individual programme elements into a captivating whole. This metaphor parallels the programme’s blueprint for change, echoing its community focus. Filmed on location, the film captures Ellis drawing inspiration from his surroundings, while interviews deliver messages driving for change and B-roll showing the communal food spaces, shared cooking, innovation, and human connections bringing the community together.
Members of the WEN network narrate the film, creating an intimate connection with the audience. This personal approach immerses viewers in the lives of those involved. We seamlessly blend artist’s studio and location shots, bridging the divide between artistry and reality.
The aim of this film is to encourage people to come together in a community-driven movement to elevate food equity. This 2-minute film encapsulates WEN and RBM’s shared dedication to promoting food equity, environmental sustainability and the transformative work of the Women’s Environmental Network.
