The goal of the event is to promote Taiwanese dialect and culture, and at the same time combine it with an artistic performance of the Taiwanese opera. Sound, light, and video brought the traditional Taiwanese opera to a wider audience. Meanwhile, the organizer hopes to develop the young generation's interest in the Taiwanese dialect on stage and to further inspire them to participate in and pass on Taiwanese culture.
To promote language development and traditional Taiwanese opera, the National Center for Traditional Arts organized a national traditional opera competition for the first time since 2023. With the theme of Taiwanese opera, the event invited young students and the public to participate through national online auditions, regional semi-finals, and the final. By promoting the use and popularization of the Taiwanese dialect, the event achieves the effects of language and arts development and cross-disciplinary integration and further promotes the meaning and importance of traditional Taiwanese opera and dialect.
