To preview the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris for the NBCU Upfront audience at Radio City Music Hall, the team had two goals: To introduce a new crop of rising Olympians to a mass audience, and to present the bi-annual Olympics competition with a fresh new and entertaining live moment.
To achieve this goal, we first partnered with Grace Potter who performed a raucous rendition of her hit song "Paris Oh La La" which would prove to be an unexpected and perfect soundtrack. Next, we found a select crop of rising stars, and one superstar, each accomplished and poised for the gold, and shot them in front of a Greenscreen in Gainesville, Florida. After a weekend shooting the sights and sounds of Paris, we created visual effects magic by comping in the athletes to the city of lights.
The result was a stunning and unforgettable presentation that left the audience in awe. This preview showcased not only the excitement and talent of the athletes, but also the creativity and innovation of the team behind the scenes. The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris promises to be an incredible event, and this preview has set the stage for an unforgettable experience. Tres Magnifique!
