The City of Austin Watershed Protection department engaged us to create video assets for their public education and outreach campaign. The goal was to create awareness about non point source pollution that citizens inadvertently contribute to and what behaviors we can do to change. We conducted stakeholder interviews with various experts within the Austin Watershed Protection department to understand the key messages we needed to communicate within each video. The team wanted unique videos for each initiative—Austin Parks & Recreation’s Scoop the Poop campaign, Grow Green for their gardening education program that promotes sustainable landscaping practices, and Pollution Prevention & Reduction messaging for their Environmental Monitoring and Compliance team. To maximize engagement, we created fun videos with messages and visual assets that the city could apply to other media touch points.
