The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Artificial Intelligence Institute (NAII) leads VA in Artificial Intelligence (AI) research, implementation, policy, and collaboration. NAII builds partnerships across government, industry, and the research community to leverage and advance AI to improve health outcomes for Veterans and the general public. NAII is committed to advancing trustworthy
AI that is ethical, bias-free, explainable, and protects privacy at every level.
From September 7-9, 2022, NAII hosted the Brain Health and Rehabilitation through AI Network (BRAIN) Summit to address the use of AI to improve brain health and rehabilitation. The conference highlighted AI’s impact on areas of critical importance to Veterans’ health: brain cancer, traumatic brain injury, and mental health.
Titan Alpha worked with VA NAII to support the event and develop conference communications through conceptualizing, writing, designing, and coordinating, from early planning through communications during the event to post-event communications. The creative design of BRAIN Summit communications stands out, particularly in the federal space. The interplay of an AI theme, BRAIN health, and creative elements makes the products compelling.
Goals:
To reach NAII stakeholders within and outside the VA to inform them about how the BRAIN Summit will advance AI to improve Veteran’s brain health in order to:
• Obtain the support and raise awareness of VA as thought leaders in the AI space.
• Educate audiences on VA AI research, development and implementation.
• Deliver timely, accurate information to Congress, the White House and other strategic partners.
• Foster collaboration among individuals and organizations invested in AI.
• Bridge the gap between AI and healthcare to explore new opportunities.
Audience:
NAII reached out to medical, healthcare, and AI professionals in government, academia, industry, and research institutions to inform and invite them to the BRAIN Summit. +500 participants attended the three-day in-person event.
