Google in partnership with Samsung and Supercell brought a spotlight to mobile gaming on gaming’s biggest night of the year - The Game Awards (viewership of 118 million people worldwide, 2023). Mobile games generated approximately 91.8 billion U.S. dollars in annual revenue, accounting for 50 percent of the global gaming market during the measured period (Statista), and Google is widening the spotlight on mobile games at The Game Awards.
During the awards show, Google showcased an immersive mobile gaming experience on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 with a 3D stunt live on the Sphere in Las Vegas - the first brand to leverage Sphere creative beyond just an isolated OOH touchpoint and instead as an extension of a broader scaled media campaign. During the integration, an epic Clash of Clans battle broke the Sphere, and Clash of Clans characters virtually took over the streets of Vegas, which was amplified across social media and with a YouTube Masthead on Sun 12/8 - 12/10, garnering millions of impressions.
