Approximately 811 million people worldwide suffer from food insecurity, with households contributing to 61% of global food waste. These statistics underscore the critical need for innovative and sustainable solutions to address both hunger and food waste.
Currently, food banks heavily rely on limited government funding and surplus food from grocery stores and retailers, often falling short of meeting the increasing demand and providing balanced nutrition. Although food banks seek support from individuals, many are unaware of the severity of food insecurity or lack consistent motivation to contribute.
Foodo reimagines the process of food donations by seamlessly bridging the information gap between individual food donors and food banks. Utilizing advanced AI, Foodo matches the food and monetary donations with food banks that need them most. Our vision is to create a motivation-driven solution that fosters long-term sustainability, aiming to combat hunger and eliminate household food waste.

Through AI, Foodo assesses the type, quantity, and nutritional diversity of donation items, aligning them with the specific needs of each food bank. This optimization ensures that donations are directed where they're most needed and can have the greatest impact.
-- Incentivization for continuous donation behaviors --
Additionally, Foodo incentivizes users for continuous contributions, offering rewards such as supermarket coupons and emotional incentives, such as tracking the number of meals they've supported. These incentives encourage users to regularly donate and actively participate in the fight against hunger.

Donors can also contribute money to help food banks purchase food and maintain operations.

We establish a community between food banks and donors to facilitate the exchange of messages and promote important information about nearby food donation events and volunteer opportunities.
We plan to launch Foodo and forge partnerships with food banks, NGOs, grocery stores, and charities to reach a broad audience and serve more communities in need.
