When Wonder introduced their hawaiian-style bun for summer grilling season, they wanted something to bring a spirit of tropical backyard paradise to the launch. So they created a playable online game experience called the “Wonder Hawaiian BUNgalow Game” to dramatize the new buns.
In this slice of virtual paradise, long-playing action was on tap. Players were challenged to stack the tallest burger by catching falling ingredients and avoiding point-stealing Kona crabs who roamed the deck landscape below.
But the fun didn’t stop there, we turned digital wins into real life prizes. Each player entered their name and email information to be entered into a giveaway for the chance to win a Daily Prize BUNdle. Prizes Included a Wonder-themed button-down Hawaiian shirt and a $100 gift card.
Fans from coast to coast played the game and took to social media to show off their high scores. In just under a month, over 60,700 players tested their stacking skills. By the end of the campaign, the game received 275,000 plus total plays with an impressive average sustained playtime of 11 minutes.
