The VI design of cultural and creative products for the opening of the Chengdu HONOR Terminal Store continues the design concept of infusing modern and vibrant elements into traditional culture, incorporating paper cuts, textures and patterns of Kuanzhai Alley (Kuan Alley and Zhai Alley), pandas, and product elements, which are exclusive to Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, to create a unique commercial visual language. This reflects the brand's respect for and inheritance of the traditional culture and demonstrates its innovative spirit and vision for the future.
This VI design blends Shujin style (a brocade exclusive to Sichuan), paper cuts typically found in Kuanzhai Alley, and pandas. The inclusion of pandas embodies Sichuan culture and conveys the brand's friendliness. These elements are simplified and extracted to evoke a modern feel while retaining their highly recognizable characteristics, highlighting the brand's innovative spirit. The Shujin style and paper cuts use symmetrical and repetitive design approaches to lend a rhythm to the symbol and create a visual layer. The product's core characteristics are extracted and merged with the symbol to emphasize the close tie between the symbol and the product. The textures and patterns of Kuanzhai Alley are ingeniously extracted and transformed into the basic structure of the symbol, which captures the local characteristics and maintains the simplicity of the design.
The overall visual effect, accented by Chengdu's classic color scheme of bean red and bamboo green, shows a balance of dynamism, which is stable and vibrant, to attract and retain consumers' interest and promote local cultural characteristics. It also echoes the brand's core value, conveys the company's brand image, and enhances the brand's market recognition.
