Unity of Knowledge and Action is a creative IP project specifically designed for the scenic spot, Wang Yangming’s former residence. It aims to merge the historical culture of Wang Yangming's former residence with modern life through innovative design techniques, creating a series of products that possess both artistic beauty and practical value. This IP image not only attracts tourists but also allows people to appreciate the profound cultural heritage and historical depth of Wang Yangming’s former residence.
The design concept of this project is inspired by Wang Yangming’s philosophy: “The mind is principle, unity of knowledge and action, the realization of innate knowledge, ecological wisdom.” The designers hope that through these products, people can encounter Wang Yangming's thoughts in their daily lives and be inspired to reflect on self-awareness and behavioral principles.
The appearance of all products features red as the main color, symbolizing passion and energy. Each product has a unique IP image that retains traditional elements while incorporating modern styles, making it both visually appealing and educationally meaningful.
What sets this project apart from similar products is its embedded cultural value. By integrating Wang Yangming’s philosophy into everyday items such as cups and pillows, consumers naturally embrace these ideas during use. Each product’s IP image is unique, representing different personality traits and life views, thus enhancing the product's fun and appeal.
The work also includes a particularly ingenious ticket which seamlessly incorporates the iconic architecture of Wang Yangming's former residence and Wang Yangming's own image. This allows tourists to experience the cultural atmosphere of Wang Yangming's former residence and the essence of Wang Yangming's thoughts while purchasing their tickets.
