The AgeTech Collaborative is an endeavor to bring AARP’s commitment to innovation to make aging easier for everyone to the business community. In 2024 they showed up at CES in a 12,800 square foot that brought their unique ecosystem of startups to life.

The Startup Pavilion featured 19 startups, the MIT AgeLab Empathy Lounge, the OATs Road Test Lounge and a podcase booth with a media deck. The AgeTech Pavilion included a booth stage that seated around 65 people, the FreeStyle+ Mental Health Gym, the Agetech Collaborative Stage, and the Samsung Health house.

The AgeTech collaborative Stage brought together 40 cutting-edge thinkers in the longevity tech space for more than 20 interactive sessions on the AgeTech Collaborative Stage. Topics ranged from aging in the metaverse to virtual travel.

The Samsung Health house was a collaborative showcase featuring 10 startup companies from the AgeTech Collaborative from AARP’s portfolio of 120+ AgeTech solutions alongside Samsung Health’s enabling technology and solutions for Agetech Startups.

The overall concept for the two spaces was to create a connected space while giving each area its own room to shine. Because the space was so large we wanted to create a sense of warmth and connection which can be seen from the use of the large hanging headers, the color palette and the wood details throughout the space. Connectivity and collaboration are the major themes and we showed through the hexagon/honeycomb texture throughout the space. We wanted to generate a tactile feeling where people could interact not only with the AgeTech team, but the startups and devices in a real and meaningful way. The space tells the story of who the AgeTech Collaborative from AARP is, the market opportunity for investment and the commitment to innovation and collaboration for the aging community.
