About The Entry

Occupational burnout is a significant issue in the GCC countries, with a concerning fact that 1 in every 3 workers shows signs of this condition. This campaign addresses all workers in the GCC region, focusing on the increasing trend of individuals experiencing occupational burnout, often without recognizing or knowing how to deal with it. In these cultures, there is a common misconception between being productive and being a workaholic, which frequently leads to burnout. The campaign aims to correct false rumors about occupational burnout and provide actionable guidance to prevent it, emphasizing the need for awareness and understanding in distinguishing healthy work habits from potential burnout triggers. The campaign centers around the powerful and resonant message, "Draw a Line: Between Yourself and Occupational Burnout." This concept urges workers to recognize and respond to early signs of burnout, such as lack of support, mismanaged tasks, work overload, and extended hours. The strategy involves two key elements: empathizing with the target audience and creating an engaging teaser phase to capture attention. Recognizing that many workers in the GCC are struggling with unfulfilling tasks and feeling unmotivated, one of the strategic tactics used is to show empathy to people having signs of burnout. This approach helps in creating a connection with the audience, making them more receptive to the educational content of the campaign. The teaser phase involved disseminating CGI-generated videos and images of orange smoke rising from building rooftops across social media channels, leveraging micro-influencers throughout the GCC. This mysterious and intriguing imagery sparked widespread curiosity and conversation, culminating in a reveal tweet that connected the imagery to the reality of occupational burnout.
