To promote Peacock’s three-part original series, "The Continental: From the World of John Wick,” we invited fans back into 1970s New York for an immersive experience of the legendary Continental Hotel – "the world’s most chic, sophisticated, and dangerously elite hotel in NYC."

For what became a 24-night, sold-out run, we transformed the defunct sushi restaurant whose exterior was used as The Continental Hotel in the franchise, into a lavish, fully immersive set – one that incorporated splintering storylines and over a dozen live actors throughout an unforgettable experience in which fans could spend an evening inside the luxuriously fashionable assassins' hotel.

The moment fans arrived, they learned their hotel room wasn’t yet ready because someone had broken the cardinal rule of The Continental – no killing on hotel grounds – and a search was underway. They were instead invited to relax in the hotel bar, where they could simply hang out and enjoy cocktails purchased using the franchise’s iconic gold coins…or begin poking around for clues about the assassin from a cast of in-world characters and hidden easter eggs spread throughout a multi-floor world.

Throughout the experience, every detail was considered to further the immersion and interactivity – from a
a vintage New York taxi permanently stationed out front, to piles of period takeout menus and comic books stashed in the “employee break room,” to a phone booth that provided special clues if you knew which room numbers to call – all as a live piano player set the tone with ballads inspired by the series’ classic rock soundtrack.

Welcome to the Continental sold out its more than 6,000 tickets within a day of public opening, and had representation from almost every major news outlet in attendance, which helped reinforce Peacock’s position as a premium streaming service. The experience resulted in over 80 media placements – including NY Times, Forbes, Hollywood Reporter, Vulture, USA Today, WSJ, TODAY, and People – as well as millions of impressions from organic social coverage, helping make the series Peacock’s biggest original launch of 2023.
