Kamezilla’ Guardianship

XIAN GUAN military kindred village is the only military village for military police in Taoyuan. It was registered as a historic site in 2006 and is now preserved and restored by Taoyuan City Government’s Department of Cultural Affairs into a military village cultural park.
Kamezilla, which stands majestically between the two restoring buildings, are co-created by several artists from different places of Taiwan with the iron structure and bamboo weaving. In particular, the ingenuity of using the bamboo vegetable baskets commonly seen in markets as the materials of the back of the tortoise is amazing. Kamezilla supports the abandoned old buildings, guards the precious historical assets despite the changes of the times, and makes efforts to turn the tide. Its huge body and energy also guard Guishan and the future of Guishan.
