In this three-minute video case study, viewers have the opportunity to learn more about the Applause and Cisco partnership, which brings inclusive digital experiences to Webex users around the world. The video includes interviews with Cisco’s product and engineering team members who have worked hard to achieve consistent conformance with accessibility standards like CVAA, WCAG and EAA for multiple Webex products – but they haven’t stopped there. Applause and Cisco share the same view that digital experiences shouldn’t just be accessible by people with disabilities (PWD), but rather, they should perform exceptionally well for all customers. In other words, they want to ensure a user experience that is truly inclusive.
As part of the ongoing program, Applause has introduced testing experts and end users from its independent testing community – the largest in the world – including PWD. Some of the testers are featured in the video and share their perspectives, as well. Throughout the interviews, a passion for inclusive design and high-quality user experiences is evident. Since the program began, Applause has helped the Webex team create dozens of “Accessibility Champions” while maximizing internal resources. Today, given its successful, sustainable results, Cisco aims to expand the program and continue to drive empathy-led innovation throughout the organization, and beyond.
