The Dallas Mavericks are one of the most recognizable franchises in sports with a dedicated fanbase and a presence as big as Texas. Following challenges with regional sports networks, the club teamed up with TEGNA to develop its own regional broadcasts through MavsTV – and this meant coming up with a bold new branding package including music.
As a Dallas-based sonic branding agency, SAM was dialed-in and ready when the Mavs came calling for a custom broadcast score to elevate their live game coverage and get fans hyped. The creative brief called for a loud-and-proud sports anthem with a crisp drumline feel and driving orchestral flair.
SAM delivered an epic 3-minute score featuring all live orchestration including strings, brass and percussion to create a rising, anticipatory feel. The extensive music package was developed exclusively for MavsTV with over 70 games available on the Dallas Mavericks Broadcast Network and the NBA app, ensuring that Mavs fans everywhere can feel the energy and intensity of their favorite team.
