Axiom of Purpose redesigned Zone 7 Water Agency's Online Annual Report with a more dynamic, user-friendly approach to increase engagement and help make the site and the work of the agency easier to understand for the Tri-Valley community. An annual report provides a unique opportunity to showcase the organization and highlight the achievements of Zone 7's service to the community. A modern online format allows the agency to expand the report’s reach and ability to keep the community informed far beyond the limited scope a printed piece offers. The interactive format is designed to meet multiple public service objectives: the report is more sustainable, more accessible, and more readily available to meet transparency goals.
The new site design uses a blog-style format to allow users to flow seamlessly through the site, while engaging with animations, videos, infographics, flip tiles and other visual strategies to convey complex water topics. The team also incorporated its first-ever digital campaign to engage residents and partners more proactively. The campaign was designed to increase and extend reach and build awareness of the agency’s critical role in water quality, reliability and flood protection while highlighting achievements associated with specific service areas at relevant times of the year, achieving phenomenal results.
The 2024 campaign (promoting the 2023 report) successfully delivered 1,7 million impressions, supporting the agency in meeting its engagement goals, sustaining exponential growth in website engagement, including a 212% increase in traffic, a 93% increase in time spent on page and a 44% increase in page views, even with fewer pages on the site with the redesign.
